Over the years, the boundaries of the French missions have changed as well as the names but one thing has always been constant and that was the mission home and office in Geneva, Switzerland.
It was purchased fifty years ago when the French Mission was first divided and the French East Mission was formed. That was when Doug was here on his first mission. The home, here in Geneva, about a block from the picturesque Lake Geneva.
The grounds for the Mission home are large and lovely.
The Mission Home and office next door are adorned with flowers. It works so well with the office adjacent to the Mission Home.
The airport is five minutes away and the trains the same. Today, we are still using that mission home but only until a new mission home and office is found in Lyon. They have been looking since February but have not found the right home yet. It will be a sad day when we leave this home that has seen so much history. Until then we will enjoy each day that we serve here in Geneva.
We are excited, and little bewildered with so many missionaries and all that they bring but most of all happy to be serving Heavenly Father.
